LEUSD Professional Development 2025-2026

Crisis Prevention Institute - During the 2025-2026 school year we are offering this training to individuals in the following groups: Principals, Assistant Principals, Counselors, Psychologists, SELSP, ERMHS Staff, AES, Special Education Paraeducators, Campus Safety Supervisors, and Special Education Teachers. CPI is meant to teach staff problem solving and decision-making skills to recognize the level of risk and apply the most appropriate verbal and/or physical interventions. Participants should be able to: improve decision making, minimize physical interventions, gain the confidence to recognize risk behaviors and respond to defensive behaviors, understand what is behind behaviors and address the needs of the individual.
