Join us for a two-day professional learning experience to launch Think SRSD in your classroom. This session is designed to help teachers begin implementation with confidence by building momentum for writing instruction using the Releasing Writers (formerly Think SRSD) approach. Participants will experience the opening lessons as learners and leave prepared to introduce the routines and structures that support students in becoming more independent and strategic writers.
Through guided practice and collaboration, teachers will explore how to successfully launch the first stages of the program and establish strong instructional foundations for continued writing development.
Lunch will be provided. Attendance on both Day 1 and Day 2 is strongly recommended to support a successful start and ensure continuity across the launch sequence.
Join us for a two-day launch of LEUSD Writes!, focused on practical, evidence-based writing instruction that helps students take ownership of their work. This session will model a structured process students can use to lead themselves through writing—from generating ideas to revising with purpose.
Through hands-on learning, teachers will experience the process as learners and apply it directly to their own classroom content. Leave with clear routines and tools to support more independent, capable writers.
This launch is just the beginning. Ongoing professional learning will support teachers as we continue this work across the three writing genres in elementary.
