LEUSD Professional Development 2025-2026

This PD session will take place at Lakeland Village School in the library.
Please bring your teacher laptop.
Secondary teachers from any LEUSD site are welcome to join any IC and Canvas Gradebook Setup session that fits their schedule. 

Get your gradebooks set up the right way from the start. This workshop will guide you step-by-step through setting up Infinite Campus and Canvas so they sync automatically. You will follow a live tutorial with time to complete each step as we go. We will also walk through the most common syncing issues and how to avoid them.
You will leave with:
• Access to the updated tutorial presentation
• Clear troubleshooting tips you can use throughout the year
• Parent Canvas App handouts customized for your school that you can duplicate or send digitally
As more curriculum and tools move online, this session gives you the support, time, and compensation needed to set up your gradebook efficiently and confidently.
You can attend any session that fits your schedule. All IC and Canvas Gradebook Setup sessions are open to secondary teachers.

Anita Archer reminds us that students should be responding 3 to 5 times per minute (yes, per minute!). No cloning machine required just smart OTR strategies! In this session, you’ll walk away with practical, creative ways to multiply student responses and keep every learner engaged from bell to bell. Whether you’re teaching kinders who can’t stop moving or seniors who won’t look up from their hoodies, these strategies will help you turn passive listeners into active participants. All ideas are grounded in Anita Archer’s classic book, Explicit Instruction. 

This session must have a minimum of 10 attendees to run.
