Get ready to bring the writing process to life! In this interactive session, we’ll explore how to explicitly teach each step of the writing process using authentic CAASPP-style performance tasks. Through model lessons, scaffolded strategies, and student exemplars, teachers will learn how to support writers in developing stamina, structure, and style. Participants will see how to guide students from analyzing a prompt to crafting a polished piece—with strategies that make planning, drafting, and revising purposeful (and even fun!). Teachers will leave with practical tools, templates, and ready-to-use resources to help students write with clarity, confidence, and voice. Please bring a fully charged device, as we will be actively exploring Tools for Teachers during the session.
During this dedicated day, site administrators will create a schedule for grade levels to receive small group coaching support with a coach from 95% Group.
Outcomes for the day include: Teaching all 95% Core components with fidelity Score/utilize 95% Core assessments and results Identify instructional goals or a focus for development
